  • Location: South Australia
  • Distance: 19 kilometres
  • Time: 9 hour hike
  • Terrain: Track / Rock
  • Traditional Custodians: Adnyamathanha
Hard

St Mary Peak is the highest point at 1171m in the Flinders Ranges. It is culturally significant in the creation story for the Adnyamathanha people and thus their preference is that you do not climb the summit, instead take in the spectacular views of the sedimentary ridges and amphitheatres from the Tanderra Saddle. The loop is best tackled via the steeper shorter Outside Track descending via the longer Inside Track.
