Questions about subscriptions and single issue purchase

How do I subscribe?

Visit our website, and under the “Subscription” tab on the top right, click “Subscribe” for the different subscription options.

How much is shipping?

If you’re an Australian resident, shipping is complimentary. Otherwise, shipping costs will be added during the checkout process.

What subscription payment options are there?

There is a 2 year or 1 year subscription payment option. Your subscription will automatically renew when it lapses, in time for the next issue, so your nominated bank account will be debited at this time. You will receive a notification from us to say if the debit was successful or not. Often failed debits are a result of a change to a credit card’s expiry date.

If you would like to manually renew your subscription, switch the ‘Auto renew’ toggle button on your dashboard. 

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription at any time you like under ‘Actions’ on your account dashboard. Or, you can email shop@walkersjournal.com.au

Which issue will my subscription start with?

If you subscribe now, your subscription will start with the next issue released at the start of the new season. If you’d like to purchase the current issue separately while you wait for next issue to arrive, we’ll send this out to you right away. You can do this by adding the current issue (or any other back issue) to your cart by clicking the ‘Back Issues’ drop down option under the ‘Subscription’ tab.

How do I subscribe for a friend, as a gift?

Once you have selected the subscription option, tick the box next to ‘Subscribe as a gift’ and enter the recipient’s email address. Then, in the checkout process, add the recipient’s delivery address.  

Can I just buy the current issue or back issues to complete my collection?

Of course! Under the “Subscription” tab, click ‘Back Issues’ and add to cart.

I am moving house, how do I update my address?

Click ‘Addresses’ on the left side of your account page. Next to your billing and shipping address click ‘Edit’ to update.

What are the Walkers Journal “on sale” dates?

  • Issue 14 (Vol. 4 No. 2)– First week of June 2024
  • Issue 15 (Vol. 4 No. 3)– First week of September 2024

How do I make editorial and/or photographic submissions?

We welcome any editorial/photographic submissions but making use of them is at the editor’s discretion. We suggest to first email Tamsin to discuss your idea before making a submission (tamsin.oneill@walkersjournal.com.au).
