Hinchinbrook Island Hiking

As one of Australia’s largest National Park islands, Hinchinbrook Island is celebrated for its mist-shrouded mountain peaks, enigmatic wetlands, and unspoiled sandy shores. For hiking enthusiasts, or anyone up for a new experience, The Thorsborne Trail is an essential Hinchinbrook hike. Having autonomy to choose the length of this walk, one can spend a week or a night exploring Queensland’s largest tropical island. With drop toilets and waterfall baths along the way, the trail leads through enchanted forests, ridgelines and river crossings. Whilst the croc radar may be on alert, Hinchinbrook Island hiking is the best way to discover all of the unique terrains and ecosystems on offer.
