Wardan Nara Bidi, Western Australia.
There are many tracks to explore the unique flora and fauna of Rottnest Island. This trail commences at the aquamarine…
Situated a mere 19 kilometres off the shores of Perth lies a chance to discover an island steeped in history and adorned with breathtaking coastal vistas. Rottnest Island is also a sanctuary for nature, home to a remarkable array of distinctive plant and animal species, including its most renowned inhabitant, the quokka. There is a network of Rottnest Island walks, such as the Wardan Nara Bidi track which heads to the island’s highest point at Wadjemup lighthouse. Whilst it would take longer than a day to walk around Rottnest Island, there are several interlinked walking paths to explore it in segments, so lace up the hiking boots and rejoice in Rottnest Island’s peaceful atmosphere by foot.
Wherever and whenever we walk, we acknowledge and pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the Traditional Custodians and Owners of the land.
