Easy
This picturesque and well-kept short walk to Nelsons Falls begins not far from Lyell Highway, with both parking and wheelchair access. The trail passes through a dense rainforest of endemics such as sassafras, myrtle and a diverse array of fern species. Before reaching the waterfall, signs along the way embark the reader on a historic journey back to when Australia was united with Gondwana, describing the ancient vegetation and habitat still present today.
Wherever and whenever we walk, we acknowledge and pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the Traditional Custodians and Owners of the land.
