There is an abundance of walks in springtime alpine meadows, stands of low snow gums and back lanes behind ski lodges. An enjoyable loop is from the village, via Mt Higginbotham with views across the Bogong High Plains, across the Great Alpine Road and on to an access track above the chairlift line. In spring, the lush flora bursts with life and wildflowers.
