  • Location: Western Australia
  • Distance: 3 kilometres
  • Time: 2 hour hike
  • Terrain: Gravel / Rock
  • Traditional Custodians: Banjima

The Karijini National Park is just north of the Tropic of Cancer and the region has a semi-desert tropical climate. It is a short walk to Joffre Falls lookout. The falls are spectacular after summer rains, but typically dry. Descend to the plunge pool at the falls base and follow the marked track into the gorge with its stunning curved amphitheatre and iron and silica-rich sedimentary walls.
