Experience Melbourne Design Week on Foot with These Self-Led Walking Tours

Spanning 11 days and more than 400 events, Melbourne Design Week is best explored on foot. With exhibitions, talks and installations unfolding across city laneways, gallery clusters and leafy inner suburbs, the 2025 program lends itself to a self-directed walking tour.

Early risers might start at Alchemy of Light at Sofitel Melbourne on Collins before weaving through city galleries like Funaki and Craft Victoria. In the inner north, design trails connect calm studios and sculptural forms – from Quiet Studio to Agra Forma. The inner east offers pairings like Designwork 09 and Vignettes.

Whether you follow a mapped trail or let your feet lead, exploring MDW by foot is a slower way to experience both the events, and the city.
