Easy

Towards the back of Strahan’s historic People’s Park is a little slice of Arcadia right in the middle of the West Coast port town. Both the town and the park were carved out of temperate rainforest, and the 40-minute return walk to Hogarth Falls meanders through a remnant patch. Following the aptly-named Botanical Creek, the deep green and damp mixed forest and variety of plant species are the real attraction of this walk, rather than the falls themselves. That said, the two-tiered falls are pretty spectacular after heavy rain. It’s an easily accessible trip back to Gondwanaland with no need for a packed lunch or time machine.
