Easy

The Great Ocean Walk has many iconic views from the high cliffs at Gibson Steps to the pristine beaches at Blanket Bay. But it is the side track from the main GOW trail that rewards with a sublime reveal of a spring plunging off the sea cliffs into ocean rock pools. Rainbow Falls can be reached from a trailhead at Bimbi Park off the Cape Otway Road. The track initially meanders amongst large eucalypts, then coastal sheoaks and moonah, before reaching a board walk across fragile undulating dunes. The route is clearly signposted to the beach where you veer east for a kilometre. This walk is best enjoyed in benign weather and low tide for safety.
