A strenuous hike from the Kakadu woodland plain up to Burrungkuy (Nourlangie), a large sandstone outcrop. Midway through the trek is the Nanguluwurr rock art site. Wildlife includes the black wallaroo, barrk, and bongka, the black-palmed monitor. From high on the outcrop, there are spectacular views across this World Heritage area. Best to walk early in the day.
