Hard

The track to the waterhole at Amalia Gorge has a couple of challenging pinch points to negotiate but the reward is the vista of a 32 metre waterfall plunging from the ancient sandstone escarpment into a large swimming hole. The landscape is spectacular especially late in the day with the ochre cliffs catching the lowering sun, and the plunge into the deep waters is extremely refreshing after a hot walk in.
