Join a journey through a slice of South Yarra in an expertly curated walking tour by The Robin Boyd Foundation to discover the precinct’s diverse architectural streetscape.
In 1958, Robin Boyd completed his experimental and instantly iconic modernist home in Walsh Street. Thus contributing to the architectural excellence of one of Melbourne’s most desired suburbs.
Explore his home precinct which remains remarkable for its architectural diversity, and sheer number of well preserved, heritage listed residences. You’ll also explore the history, landscape and stories of this unique pocket of Melbourne.
The walking tour is approximately 2.5km and takes up to 2 hours. It is very leisurely paced, but does involve an uphill section of several hundred meters. Therefore, moderate fitness levels are required by attendees.
Thanks to walking tour partners, Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne for supporting Robin Boyd Foundation’s tours. Check out other tours and events offered by the Melbourne Gardens.
