The 25th annual MS Moonlight Walk will be held on Saturday 28 October 2023, at Davies Park, West End from 3pm.
To celebrate its anniversary, the event has been planned to be bigger and better than ever, with live music and entertainment, glow performances along the route and of course, the event’s signature sea of lanterns to light up the night.
Being held on a Saturday this year, the focus is very much on families and groups of friends taking part in this community celebration.
The event offers three courses, (3km, 5km or 10km walks), with both the 3km and 5km being wheelchair accessible. Each course will include some of Brisbane’s most iconic landmarks including the Wheel of Brisbane, Brisbane River, several beautiful parks and roving entertainment.
Participants are able to take in the views of Brisbane city by night and then return to the park for a picnic dinner with a variety of food trucks available as well as BYO options. As an extra incentive, all participants who raise over $500 will receive a branded picnic blanket.

Each year the MS Moonlight Walk raises vital funds for services and research supporting over 5,500 Queenslanders living with MS, a disease with no known cause or cure. The average age of diagnosis is between 20-40 years with three out of four people living with MS being women.
Funds raised will go towards services including MS Queensland’s NeuroAssist information line, NDIS access and planning support, specialist nursing services and wellness programs for those living with multiple sclerosis (MS) and other neurological conditions.
Walkers on all courses will be supported by course marshals, volunteers and refreshment stations. There is also a local neighbourhood option for those that can’t make it to the event.
Registrations for MS Queensland’s 25th Anniversary of the MS Moonlight Walk are open. The fundraising event hopes to see lanterns illuminate Brisbane’s CBD in October to ensure no Queenslander faces multiple sclerosis (MS) alone.
