Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria will host a series of immersive Forest Therapy sessions across its Melbourne and Cranbourne Gardens this spring, inviting visitors to slow down and reconnect with nature.
Originating from Japan, Shinrin-yoku โ or โforest bathingโ โ is a preventative health practice that improves and strengthens mental and physical wellbeing. Recognised as a public health practice in Asia and Europe, Forest Therapy is gaining global acclaim as an evidence-based, cost-effective and natural remedy โ a true green prescription for a healthier you.
Participants will learn simple nature connection, sensory and creative practices to help calm the mind and deepen their awareness of the natural world. Proven health benefits of Forest Therapy include a boosted immune system, reduced stress levels, regulated pulse and blood pressure, and improved sleep.
The guided sessions at both Melbourne and Cranbourne Gardens offer the chance to slow down, breathe deeply and restore balance in two of Victoriaโs most beautiful natural settings. Whether you prefer the sweeping bushland of Cranbourne or the tranquil lakeside landscapes of Melbourne Gardens, each session provides a unique opportunity to experience the healing power of nature.
