On the eastern edge of Kakadu National Park this walk passes many Aboriginal rock art sites including examples of x-ray painting and depictions of the first European contact. The area’s rocky outcrops provided shelter and the rich floodplains of the East Alligator River provided a source of food, medicine and tools. There are sweeping views from the Nadab lookout, spectacular at sunset or during monsoonal storms.
