Trousers Point, Flinders Island

Trousers Point, Flinders Island

  • Location: Tasmania
  • Distance: 5 kilometres
  • Time: 2 hour hike
  • Terrain: Gravel / Beach
Moderate

This is an interesting explorative stroll through coastal heath and casuarina scrub with a rewarding swim at the end – trunks optional. Flinders Island’s Mt Strezlecki at 756m towers behind the granite headland which frames a wide crystal clear bay with blindingly white sand. Offshore islands from the Furneaux Group are visible in the distance. As a side trek head to Fotheringate Bay with its striking rock formations and caves.
