A good snapshot of the Great Ocean Walk.  From the bush car park follow the sign to the mouth of Elliot River through tall eucalypt forest. At low tide it’s possible to cross the mudstone shelf and head east to pristine Shelly Beach. Behind the beach head back into the forest and up the ridge. Birdlife surrounds you and if you’re lucky you may spot a koala in the canopy.
