This 6km track follows Dove Lake with the towering dolerite columns of Cradle Mountain as a backdrop. The rich biodiversity of the Cradle Mountain – Lake St Clair National Park is apparent. Unique Tasmanian flora includes King Billy pines and fagus, a deciduous beech and remnant from the Gondwana era. The track highlights include a glacially carved granite outcrop, a cool temperate rainforest and the 1940s boatshed.
