Pony Rider announces giveback program to entice people back into nature

Australian homeware and lifestyle brand Pony Rider will launch The National Project, a new giveback program aimed to entice people back into nature, by donating one per cent of all sales from their new National Project range, alongside their initial donation of $10,000, to fund much-needed restoration work on the NSW National Parks & Wildlife Walking Huts. The new range dropped online at www.ponyrider.com.au and at their flagship Newport store on the Northern Beaches on Sunday, 6th June 2021.

The limited-edition National Project range includes a National wall banner ($99.00), two official blankets made from Australian merino wool ($499.00), a range of organic cotton tees ($89.00), stoned washed for an aged finish with beautiful water-based inks, an organic cotton sweater ($169.00) and four cosy cotton beanies ($39.00) for your next chilly adventure.

Pony Rider founder Kelly Searl shares: “The National Project is an exciting new stage for our business. It aims to help protect and restore our national parks. As a kid, I grew up exploring and hiking in our national parks, so I’ve always had a heartfelt appreciation for them and all they offer. I really want to inspire people to get adventurous so they can find their best self in the outdoors.”

“From hiking up mountains to paddling down rivers, the adventures we encounter in our parks are boundless, and they ignite the little scout in all of us. We’re excited about our inaugural program that inspires people to get out and spend time exploring our National Parks. The walking huts are there for all to enjoy and encourage us to be more adventurous.”

Pony Rider works directly in partnership with the NSW National Parks & Wildlife, helping supply materials to various Walking Huts as needed. All of the raised donations and funds from the National Project collection from Pony Rider will be channelled directly through the Foundation for National Parks and Wildlife (FNPW).

FNPW says, “We’re so excited to partner with Pony Rider on the hut project. Heritage Buildings like Bullocks Hut provide great places for visitors to create unique and memorable experiences. These assets must be maintained for future generations to enjoy.”
