Day Trip Sydney book offers 52 trips to escape the everyday

The state of the planet has never been more in flux. As we shift our focus inward, it is important to understand and appreciate what we have close to us. Local travel has not only become a necessity but an attractive alternative to expensive and environmentally damaging overseas travel.

Day Trip Sydney takes you to mountains, waterfalls, swimming holes, forests, coastlines, urban parks, Aboriginal cultural sites, historic architecture, hidden spots and more. Each adventure includes directions by car or public transport, a map showing walking routes and facilities, and a guide to trip highlights. A full-spread guide to trips at a glance shows all the trip details in one place, for ease of planning. There are trips for everyone – families, solo adventurers, furry friends – all within 120 kilometres of the city centre.

Escape the urban chaos with a leisurely stroll through beach-side sanctuaries, swim beneath waterfalls, wander through tranquil coastal rainforests, or hike in the majestic Blue Mountains. Whether you’re a Sydney local or a first-time visitor, Day Trip Sydney will ignite your nomadic spirit.

Day Trip Sydney is the first in the Day Trip series.
